MeetingCost Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the MeetingCost browser extension and the associated website at meetingcostpro.com ("the Service"), operated by Siam T. Paite ("we", "us"). By installing the extension or purchasing a PRO licence, you agree to these Terms.

1. Description of Service

MeetingCost is a Chrome browser extension that estimates meeting cost in real time and provides optional PRO features including analytics, AI transcription, calendar integration, department tagging, webhook alerts, and data exports. The free tier stores all data locally on your device. The PRO tier adds cloud sync via Firebase.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering a binding agreement to use the Service. By using it, you represent that you meet these requirements.

3. Licences and Accounts

• PRO licences are per-user and non-transferable.
• You are responsible for keeping your licence key and account credentials secure.
• We reserve the right to revoke licences issued fraudulently or in violation of these Terms.
• Monthly and yearly subscriptions purchased via Gumroad are governed by Gumroad's terms in addition to these Terms.

4. Payments and Refunds

We want you to be satisfied with MeetingCost PRO. Refunds are available under the following conditions:

• Eligibility window: Refund requests must be submitted within 7 days of purchase for Gumroad payments, or within 48 hours for crypto payments.
• Eligible reasons: Billing error, duplicate charge, license non-delivery, or a verified technical failure on our side that prevented the product from functioning.
• Not eligible: Change of mind after the eligibility window, accounts where PRO features have been actively used (meetings tracked, AI transcription consumed, or dashboard data generated), or license keys that have been shared or transferred.
• Crypto payments: Refunds are processed manually from our end within 5 business days of approval. The exact amount refunded will be the USD equivalent at the time of your original transaction.
• Gumroad payments: Approved refunds are processed via Gumroad and may take 5–10 business days to appear on your statement.
• License revocation: Upon approval of a refund, your PRO licence will be deactivated and access to PRO features will cease.

To request a refund, email siam_t_paite@meetingcostpro.com with your purchase email, payment method, and a brief description of the issue.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the extension or its licence verification.
• Share, resell, or redistribute your PRO licence key.
• Use the Service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations.
• Attempt to circumvent plan caps or access PRO features without a valid licence.

6. AI Transcription and Data

AI transcription features send audio data to your chosen third-party provider (OpenAI, AssemblyAI, Deepgram, Rev.ai, HuggingFace, or Google Gemini) using your own API key. We do not receive, store, or process your audio or transcripts on our servers. You are responsible for compliance with your organisation's recording and consent policies.

7. Intellectual Property

The MeetingCost extension, its source code, branding, and all associated assets are owned by Siam T. Paite. Nothing in these Terms grants you any ownership or licence beyond the right to use the Service as described herein.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. Meeting cost estimates are approximations based on salary data you provide and are not a substitute for professional financial or HR analysis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the Service.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or unauthorised access to your account.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time. On termination, your right to use any PRO features ceases.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. We will update the "Last updated" date above.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Siam T. Paite is resident, without regard to conflict of law principles.
